A growing number of food and drink related businesses are joining in our festival and so there are lots of special events to keep everyone entertained. Here’s what our programme looks like at the moment and keep watching this website as we’re expecting to add yet more events. Wednesday 22nd September Gloucester Old Spot Sausage Appreciation Society dinner in The Close Hotel at 7.00pm for 7.30pm (tel 01666 502272 for tickets) Thursday 23rd September Pizza-making at The Priory Inn at 4.00 pm (tel 01666 502551 to reserve a place) A celebration of Gloucestershire food at Highgrove starting at 5.30pm with Pimms followed by a tour of the gardens and a reception with popular dishes from local ingredients and summer wine punch (tel 01666 503203 for tickets) Friday 24th September Bow in the Cloud Vineyard tour at 2.00pm (admission free, contact the Tourist Information Centre on 01666 503552 to reserve a place, please see below for more information about the vineyard and tour) Tour of Duchy Home Farm at 2.00pm (small charge with proceeds going to charity, contact the Tourist Information Centre on 01666 503552 to reserve a place) Pasta-making workshop at The Rectory, Crudwell, from 10.30am to 2.00pm (tel 01666 577194 for tickets) Saturday 25th September Jesse Smith´s Big Pan, Long Street, Tetbury, throughout the day (admission free) Wine tasting with Jackie Wheels (Oxford Wines) in the Market Hall from 6.00pm (contact the Tourist Information Centre on 01666 503552 for tickets) Gourmet dinner at The Close Hotel (tel 01666 502272 for further details and tickets) Sunday 26th September Cider and sausage festival at The Snooty Fox throughout the day (admission free) Barbecue and quiz and at The Potting Shed Pub, Crudwell; food served at 6.30pm, quiz starts promptly at 7.30pm (tel 01666 577833 for tickets) The Bow in the Cloud Vineyard (Special Opening for Tetbury Foord & Drink Festival) The vineyard is not open to the public but visitors are welcome by arrangement especially during the Tetbury Food and Drink Festival, when guided tours and tutored tastings have been arranged. Visitors should be aware that this is weather dependent as there is no shelter and that wines may be purchased with cash or cheque only. |
